![]() Bassist, Singer, and composer, Chris Wilson attacks today’s music head on with a positive laid back vibe that brings an addictive groove to his audience. Born in London Chris crashed the San Francisco music scene in the early 1980’s. His influences include Tony Levin, James Jamerson, and Roger Water. He spent years studying and training with legendary bassist Carol Kaye which gave him the confidence and insight he needed to pursue his musical career. Since then, he has played over 250 concerts, 800 club dates, and has recorded 10 albums. In 2002, Chris co-founded the band “Greggs Eggs” with Greg Anton (Zero) and Lonnie Walter (Boz Scaggs & Michael Jackson). They recorded their first record entitled “Greggs Eggs” at The Plant recording studio in Sausalito California. Chris co-wrote songs with famed Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. They performed the song “The Biz” on the known John Lee Hooker tribute record. The album also featured Jeff Beck and Jack Bruce. Chris continued on and in 2003 he joined the rock band “Dreamland” working with singer song writer John Buckle. They recorded two albums and played venues throughout the western United States. Chris’s addition to the band brought a sly back beat groove that helped create their new sound. Today, Chris continues to record and perform with many other known artists such as, Zanne Mack (2003 best new blues artist in Canada), Wade Olson (Craig Chaquico), and Allen Brown (GMG Records). ![]() ![]() ![]() |
